Martha and Mary "Jesus loved Martha and her sister (Mary) and Lazarus." John 11:5 Of all the events that could have been recorded for us on the pages of scripture- the Holy Spirit made certain that three separate accounts of Martha and Mary were included. These accounts reveal a special friendship shared between Jesus and Martha, Mary and their brother Lazarus. In the passage above the word "loved" is the word "agapeo" in the Greek and means to be fond of, to love dearly. This precious bond of friendship is available to each one of us who choose to open our hearts and sit at His feet. In this special three-part series we are taking an in depth look at each of the accounts that have been given to us so we can glean from their example. I encourage you to pull out your Bible and notebook as we dig in to uncover the treasures that are contained in these faith building encounters. ⬇ ⬇ ⬇ WATCH WEEK ONE HERE (The One Thing) ⬇ ⬇ ⬇ In this first lesson we will look at Luke 10:38 to 42.
