Overcoming Limitations!

Do you ever feel held back or frustrated by your circumstances? Are there things you would like to accomplish but feel limited by a lack of resources or opportunities?

Twenty years ago, I felt the call of God to “teach the Word” but thought, “How can I ever be a teacher, worth her weight in salt, if I don’t go through Bible College?” So, convinced Bible College was the road I needed to travel, I made several attempts to try and get doors opened only to be frustrated. With three small kiddos, a challenging marriage, and no resources available it seemed like an impossibility. Then one day while I was reading through the book of Acts the Holy Spirit highlighted the following verse…

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated  and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus”
Acts 4:13

Then and there I realized that though God may choose to use Bible College to prepare some, He reserves the right to prepare each of us in His own unique way, according to our own unique set of circumstances.

After this revelation, I spent nearly 15 years teaching a women’s Bible study. Most of which was book by book, verse by verse sitting in my own Livingroom.  I was immersed in the Word! This became my Bible College! And the best part was it didn’t take me away from the needs of my family during that season yet none the less it prepared me for the season to come.

What can be accomplished through His grace and wisdom are beyond imagination. He has plans, strategies, and resources available to us that we cannot begin to fathom. The Lord is not limited by the things we perceive as limitations!

You can be assured if the Lord has placed something in your heart, something for you to accomplish, He has both a plan and the resources to carry it out. He is not trying to lead you into a holy frustration. The key is your partnership with Jesus! I encourage you to begin taking an inventory of what He has made available to you and then look for ways to put it to work, in faith.  As you sew in faith, God will bring the increase you need in ways you least expect!
