Testify

I confess… I am addicted to hearing testimonies. Whether it is a single incident or a life long experience that someone shares about God’s great and glorious work I love to hear it! Testimonies are a powerful tool in the Lord’s hand for leading others to faith in Christ. They also are beneficial for us as believers giving us cause to rejoice while inspiring us to trust God in even greater dimensions. This is the reason we have someone share their personal “God story” at every “A Night With The King” event, testifying to the faithfulness and transforming-power of God. Every child adopted into the family of God has a testimony worth sharing and the longer you walk with the Lord the more you have to share. Testimonies can be a powerful offensive weapon for advancing the kingdom of God and should be shared liberally. “And they overcame him (Satan) because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” Revelation 12:11 Make it part of your regular prayers to ask the Lord for opportunities to share and testify to God’s good and faithful work in your life. Then watch for queues from the Holy Spirit in your conversations with others that provide that opportunity.  God will be faithful to not only supply the opportunities but build faith in the one you share with. Just think about the damage that could be done to the kingdom of darkness if every believer began to freely share their God stories. I pray the Lord will give us boldness to share our personal story with many, many people for the glory of God and the furtherance of is kingdom!
